Buyers list is a segment of your subscribers that have purchased something from you. They have proved that they have a way to pay online, and they are willing. Even a $1 purchase qualifies a person to get to the buyers list.

It can be said that each buyer is worth to you as much as 100 freebie list members.

  2. Offer useful advice to build trust and authority/credibility
  3. Introduce your signature with link to your blog or some other site
  4. Use any other psychological techniques to that people off the forum and onto your site/list

A freebie list is the worst and least responsive list there is. They are trained and expecting to receive only, their capacity for reciprocity is non-existent, a kind of welfare mentality dominates. It could be said that about 3-5% of a freebie list can be trained to be normal, responsive, and buying lead.

There are leads and then there are LEADS. The most important criteria in targetedness of a lead, or traffic, or a list, is that the people are proven interested, actively interested in what you are promoting. 1. searchers: what keyword phrase someone searches for tells a lot about their readiness and interest to buy. Most search terms are just that: searchers looking for information. There are also buyer keywords, and if you managed to snag a prospect with that: you have a good chance that they will turn into buyers. 2. Your landing page and your listbuilding tool: your free report needs to start differentiate between casual interest and real interested prospect. If you have a totally beginner product, you may, accidentally, build a list of people that will never buy, but even beyond that: they will never even open your emails. If your giveaway product doesn't qualify the prospect efficiently, your first job is to put in front of them offers or other reports that further qualify them. A highly targeted list is a goldmine... the less targeted the list is the less money you can make with it.

Response rate of a list can be divided to two factors:

  1. open rate
  2. click rate
Your open rate will depend on
  1. your relationship with your list members
  2. your subject line
Your click rate will depend on
  1. How well you trained your list to click when you say "click"
  2. Your email copy
To increase any list's response rate you need to
  1. train your list to expect a link in every email to click
  2. create interesting subject lines
  3. create interesting emails that their only purpose is to take people to your website to continue the content
